About the role

We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Registered Nurses to join our Theatre team, where you’ll be responsible for providing and coordinating all aspects of quality patient care while demonstrating great team work, communication and time management skills. In this role, you will be expected to work within all the teams and experience all areas of specialty giving you the opportunity to develop a full range of scrub/scout, anaesthetic and recovery skills for full autonomy as a perioperative nurse. Our team members will support and encourage you moving through the areas within our Theatre complex and specialties of general surgery, orthopaedic, gynaecology, obstetrics, ENT, urology, dental, endoscopy and paediatrics.

Theatre is scheduled five days per week with shifts comprising a morning (07:30-5:30) and afternoon (12.30 - 22.30) as well as on-call outside of these hours. Currently there are four theatres expanding to six which will provide a brand-new working environment and improved theatre facilities for both our patients and our team.

Successful completion of a Graduate Nursing program

Certificate in perioperative care/Recovery room/Day Surgery is highly desirable

Previous experience in operating suite or endoscopy room

Basic knowledge of patient management and information systems

Selection Criteria

Essential : Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or eligibility to obtain AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse within Australia

Essential : Previous experience in Medical and Surgical Nursing

Essential : A satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check, Victorian 'Employee' Working with Children Check and completion of a Commonwealth of Australia Statutory Declaration prior to commencement of employment. Do you agree to this requirement?
