About the role
The IMYOS Senior Clinician is a leadership role in the new IMYOS multidisciplinary team, providing outreach mental health care to young people aged 12-25 years of age. Initially you will be insturmental in enhancing and embedding the service into the local community. You will be responsible for the provision of mental health assessment, treatment planning and providing intensive mental health intervention to a defined caseload of young people, their families and carers. As a leader of the team you will provide support and supervision to less experienced clinicians and students.
We are looking for
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health Nursing enabling registration with AHPRA
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work enabling registration with AASW
Experience and expertise in the provision of mental health care to young people, their families and carers.
Experience in the provision of primary and secondary consultation

Selection Criteria
Essential : Commitment to the GV Health Values of Compassion, Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Teamwork and Ethical Behaviour and ability to exhibit behaviour which reflects our values.
Essential : Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Clinical or Forensic Psychologist
Essential : Social Work qualification enabling registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Essential : At least 5 years of experience working in clinical mental health, preferably with youth expertise
Essential : Expertise and experience in the provision of integrated mental health and substance use or addiction treatment and care, and/or advanced knowledge of same.
Essential : Comprehensive working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014 (Vic) and other relevant legislation
Essential : Ability to work with complex service systems in order to ensure consumers and families receive the support they require in their recovery journey.
Essential : Experience in engaging with external stakeholders in relation to development and maintenance of organisational relationships.
Essential : Experience in the provision of primary and secondary consultation
Essential : Evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19 and Influenza
Desirable : Youth mental health related Post graduate qualification and/or Senior leadership experience
Essential : A satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check, Victorian 'Employee' Working with Children Check and completion of a Commonwealth of Australia Statutory Declaration will be required from prospective candidates prior to commencement of employment.
