Reports to: Clinical Lead Radiologist/ Divisional Clinical Director

Contract and hours: Permanent and Full-time (10PA's)

 

Job Summary:

This is a newly funded post In General Radiology with a special interest in Breast Radiology. The post will be based in Altnagelvin hospital

To provide high quality, effective and efficient Radiology services within the contract resources available to the Western Health and Social Care Trust. To share in the collective responsibility for the provision of services for patients within the Radiology Department. To provide leadership within the relevant speciality team. To contribute to excellence in clinical practice through research, audit, undergraduate and postgraduate training.

 

Key Result Areas / Main Responsibilities:

Candidates should be general radiologists with experience in a wide range of imaging techniques. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the general workload of the department including on-call.

Subspecialty interests will be encouraged and accommodated if the special interest is in line with development needs of the trust and the radiology department. Subspecialty experience in these areas is particularly welcome:

  • Musculoskeletal imaging
  • Neuroimaging
