Location: Campbellford (Ontario), Gravenhurst (Ontario), Hamilton (Ontario), Kingston (Ontario), Kitchener (Ontario), Ottawa (Ontario), Toronto (Ontario)

Salary range: $85,917 to $100,165 (Plus applicable allowances, including the Correctional Service Specific Duty Allowance of $2,000 and a terminable allowance [master - $6,000, doctoral – $12,000] per year. These allowances are subject to change, modification or revocation, with notice)

 

Work environment

The CSC is hiring licenced Psychologists.

As a Psychologist within our agency, you will work as an autonomous health provider in a dynamic, evidence-based multidisciplinary practice offering essential psychological services (assessment, intervention, and treatment) to a diverse patient profile.

EDUCATION

Graduation with a master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in clinical, forensic or counseling psychology.

Degree equivalency

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:

Registered/Licensed as a Psychologist for autonomous practice by a provincial registering/licensing body.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in the provision of psychological services (including mental health services), such as assessment, counseling or other psychological services with adults, either to groups or to individuals.

EDUCATION:

Doctorate from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in clinical, forensic or counseling psychology.

Degree equivalency

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:

Registration for autonomous practice of psychology by the provincial registering/ licensing body in the province of practice.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience diagnosing mental disorders.

KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of the Correctional Service of Canada, the Criminal Justice System and its legislative basis, and the relevant provincial legislation governing mental health and the practice of psychology.
