Program incentive
We are offering $5000 in four lump sum payments to eligible individuals in exchange for a two-year commitment to North Bay Regional Health Centre as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician. Funds are received in increments throughout the two-year commitment.
Summary
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for dispensing and compounding of drugs, as delegated by a Pharmacist, and the distribution component of Pharmacy Services, in keeping with the standards of Hospital Pharmacy practice.
Qualifications
- Regulated Pharmacy Technician (registration with Ontario College of Pharmacists) required
- Computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word) required
- Good attendance and work record required
- Valid driver’s licence required
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention required (training delivered by Health Centre upon hire)
- Demonstrated excellent judgment and proven analytical skills required
- Knowledge and experience with Meditech an asset
- Experience in hospital pharmacy automated technologies an asset
- Must demonstrate commitment to ensure the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors
- Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
- Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required. All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the identified French requirement has been met or there are no successful bilingual candidates. A formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level
Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check recent within six (6) months is a requirement
