About the opportunity
Provide and lead safe, appropriate, and responsive quality nurse care to patients and clients of Western NSW Local Health District, to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and rural communities.
Nursing Care
Undertake nursing care and interventions to the level and scope of practice, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions to support patients/clients achieve their health and wellbeing goals.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
Participate in collaborative and person-centred models of care, communicating effectively with patients/clients, carers and other healthcare team members and colleagues regarding nursing care, to support effective outcomes.
Safety & Quality
Promote safety, quality, and reliability by understanding and managing individual factors which influence performance at work, utilising system thinking, participating in management of clinical incidents and risk and actively contributing to improvement processes.
The Person
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated ability to practice in accordance with the Registered Nurse Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia).
- Experience working in a critical care environment, including Emergency, Intensive Care or Coronary Care.
- Commitment to providing culturally safe, patient centered care.
