Location: Omagh and Kesh areas

Contract and hours: To establish a waiting list for permanent, temporary, part-time or ‘as and when required’ vacancies that may arise within Adult Day Care & Day Opportunities in the Omagh and Kesh Area over the next 12 months.

 

Interviews will take place at the Recruitment Day on Saturday 1st February 2025 between 10:45am - 3pm in Lisnamallard Industries, Woodside Avenue, Omagh

 

Role summary   

The Care Assistant is part of the Day Care Staff Team whose function is to attend to the personal needs of members under the direction and supervision of their Day Care Worker and Senior Day Care Worker.

Responsibilities

To accompany and supervise adults with a Learning Disability on the bus/taxi to and from their home, social outings and personal appointments. (Residential/Respite requirement only.)

To adhere to all Trust Policies and Regulatory Requirements at organisational and departmental level. for Health and  Safety Regulations.

Ensure that all information specific to the service user is shared with relevant personnel.

To provide, where appropriate, personal assistance to service users such as bathing, washing, toileting, dressing and feeding in accordance to their individual care plans.

Ensure service users’ clothing is clean, well maintained at all times.

Staff must act professionally at all times.

Report to the person in charge any untoward incidents, falls, accidents, complaints etc. and contribute to the maintenance of appropriate records within the established procedures.

Assist in the provision of individual and group programmes of care.

Assist with the preparation, serving and supervision of meal times.

Administer First Aid.

Be available to listen and talk to service users.
